2004-08-22 - 8:43 p.m. Back in Ames, woo hoo. I worked Saturday night and met "the other woman". She's nice, but not that cute. Has a really big nose and looks like she's 12. I introduced myself and she says "ah, the infamous Marie". What the fuck is that supposed to mean? I tried not to look like I was thinking that, so I kinda laughed and said something like I hoped it was only good things she heard. Yep, not a fan. HE didn't work with me last night, which was good cause I wasn't in a good mood anyway. Oh! I hung out with Gabe and my boys from d-port Friday night and guess what... Shaun got MARRIED and has (another) kid on the way. WTF?!?!?!? The boy got MARRIED and didnt' even invite me! Gabe said everyone was asking him where I was and why he didn't invite me. After all, although we dated for a short time, we've all been super close for like 4 years. I'm not really angry, but really sad about it. He supposedly was going to, but whatever. Its not like things were weird after we dated because we were friends long afterward. Its just so crazy! Ben (one of the guys in that group of us) is going to school in Des Moines came up last night after I got off work and hung out for a while. It was good to see him, its been a long time. Supposedly he has a kid on the way too. Damn, must be something in the water. Good thing I have a Brita, filter that shit out! Anyway, its with his ex, and he doesn't know if she's even still prego cause she hasn't returned his phone calls in 3 months. Drama. He's so hot though. Def a big BMXer with lots of piercings and tattoos, and he has the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen. We watched Hidalgo and got pizza. He's not boyfriend material, but fun to be around. Friend-boys are good to have every now and then. I cant believe I have to get up and go to class tomorrow. My summer has consisted of working for 2 1/2 months and spending the past 5 days in a constant state of inebriation. (My mom said that it was a good thing I'm not home much or else we'd be going out every night.) Just one more week would be nice. Not to mention it's wicked hot still here and that sucks to be inside all day. (Woah, I just said wicked.... damn Boston people!) Well, I need to get back to watching my sox! Lata!
